Groundwork NE - Summer Club
Helping with the day to day running of the summer club at Easington Primary School as well as providing creative fun activities to encourage different art skills and interests for the children attending.
Activities included: using clay outdoors to mount to trees and attach foraged materials creating Greenman faces, playing with air drying clay to make personal pieces to paint, printing onto tote bags, drawing techniques, art games, craft making and sculpting with coloured modelling clay.
Groundwork NE - Easter Workshops
Using air drying clay, we delivered fun ‘Mini’ art workshops to create Easter themed items which could then be painted the next day.
Groundwork NE - Environmental Awareness
Working closely with Groundwork North East we produced two wire mesh sculptures, ‘Litter Fish’, aimed to visually grab and engage viewers attention. The fish are filled with single use plastic and are brightly decorated with painted faces and fins, as well as accompanying display basses. Providing a creative tool for Groundwork’s presentations at school assemblies, and as a talking point at public events helping to highlight recycling and environmental issues.
Jack Drum - BOP Fest Environmental Awareness Workshops
Working with Jack Drum Arts again we delivered a four-day environmental awareness workshop to produce decorations and sculptures to be displayed at the summer B.O.P festival (Building Our Planet), which we also attended with our pop-up craft stall.
Jack Drum - Environmental Awareness Workshop
Through visual arts, music and drama, 32 young activists produced a play exploring the important issues surrounding climate change using props made within our environmental awareness art workshops. A variety of props were created using plastic waste and crafting materials.
Jack Drum - Event Support Crook Light Festival
Working effortless as a team we helped to organise and hand out art pieces to participants walking in the light parade, directing and helping the general public, as well as escorting performers throughout the event and parade itself.
